President Donald Trump will speak at two rallies in Texas on Tuesday, October 27, to energize the Republican base before the midterm elections.

According to WDRB Wave, Trump is scheduled to address a crowd in Corpus Christi at 2 p.m. and another in Lubbock at 6 p.m. The events are designed to lift turnout for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton, who faces Democrat James Talarico in a closely contested race.

The contest for the Senate seat has become a focal point for both parties, with polling data indicating a virtual tie. A recent Fox News poll placed both candidates at 49% among likely voters. Conversely, prediction market Kalshi currently lists Talarico as the favorite with a 65% probability, despite the narrow margins shown in traditional surveys.

Vice President JD Vance is also making a trip to the state. Audacy reports that Vance will hold a rally in Weatherford on Thursday, October 29. His visit is part of a coordinated effort to secure votes in the Senate race and in several competitive congressional districts across South Texas.

Early voting in Texas concludes on Friday, October 30. Voters will cast their final ballots on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. The result of this Senate race will determine which party holds control of the upper chamber.
